Join this year's Grand Marshal, Glee star and local BC boy, Cory Monteith as he leads more than 100 'Raise a Roof' dancers, elaborate floats, and 14 marching bands for a jam-packed parade through the streets of downtown Vancouver!
South Asian Arts will also be on hand with our own Dhol drummers & Bhangra dancers as well as Bhangra dancers from Shan E Punjab Arts Club. Let's just hope the Lions can pull out one more win next Sunday over the Eskimos for a chance to play for the big, shiny mug in their home town!
The parade will start at 10am on Smithe Street at Hornby Street. It will then head towards Burrard, turning onto Burard and down to Canada Place, finishing at 12pm in Jack Poole Plaza at the Vancouver Sun FanFest in the Nissan Family Zone. (See Map Below)
Help Safeway and the 2011 Grey Cup Festival support the communities in which we live. Bring a non-perishable food item for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank or a donation for the Salvation Army's Christmas Kettle Kick-off! Look for volunteers along the parade route and in the Nissan Family Zone after the parade!
